How many credit hours is your masters? Most schools will want to see a progressive trend upwards of great GPA to compensate for your undergrad GPA.

Nice job on the DAT! I'm sure that will help you as will doing well in the Masters program (which program are u in?). Some schools might not overlook your 2.6 though so expect rejections but I'm sure u knew this already. Good luck!

I have a degree from a very good school. Public Ivey, crappy GPA...2.6. I just began a Masters program now, basically doing the first year courses for Dental school...(Neurobiology, Histology, Biochem, Gross, etc.). I should be done by the fall. I'm working my ass off and if I do well this semester, I will apply this summer for Fall 2010. Is there anything else I need to do? I have a good DAT 21 AA, 23 PA and I totally rocked Organic Chem with a 27. Now I really don't plan on taking the DAT again. I'm hoping to submit everything on the first day. Maybe do some research this summer. Lemme know! PM is fine if anybody has been through this situation successfully or has any advice. Thanks!

go work as an assistant. go work in a dental lab. go push old folks around. read to children.

anything that shows an interest in dentistry will be a great help. anything that show's you are a compassionate person will put you over the top.

so far you're doing everything right to make up for a low GPA. i did the exact same thing as you and received multiple acceptances.
