i was working on my rol and saw that there is not supposed to be any contact between unmatched match participants and programs before march 12. does this include thank you notes and/ or questions about the program? this seens strange.

😕 you're talking about unmatched participants which will only be decided at noon on 3/12. after which contact is allowed.

"Unmatched" probably means you are scrambling for a position, not the pre-match period.

Correspondences between programs and applicants are fine. A program can express interest in a candidate. Likewise, the candidate can tell a program things like, "I plan to rank you #1."

What is a violation is for either party to SOLICIT or PRESSURE.

Questions and thank you notes are fair game. No need to worry.
