Wow, if you have not heard, they are re-doing the urology match after "irregularities". Check out urologymatch.com discussion boards if your interested. I dont think I would know what to do if that happened to me.

WOW, an entire match botched... with top programs like Hopkins and Cleveland not filling... totally absurd! Apparantly some glitch in software or how data was entered...

I was just reading about the urology match irregularity---crazy stuff!!! My match is tomorrow (neuro), so this was NOT what i should have been reading!!!! 😱

Wow. My current surgery attending's daughter applied to urology...she did match, but apparently so many people had their top choices at places that did not fill (in her case Hopkins) that something seemed wrong. Obviously he wasn't being oversuspicious. 😱

I sure hope nothing like this happens again!!!

What a mess. One of my best buds is currently on pins and needles... he matched, but now has to wait until Friday to be sure.

I'd be going crazy... or just drinking myself into oblivion. Of course, come March, I may be doing that anyway.

Someone at my school matched at Harvard initially but when the match was rerun was unmatched.

That would be an ego burster!! Feel sorry for the poor dude.
All the people i knew( well, just 3 5o be exact) rematched at the same program.

Wow, that's insane! Are you sure the guy is telling the truth, and not just embarrassed about not matching? If you're good enough to be ranked decently at mass general for urology, you'd think he'd at least be able to match somewhere. Oh well, if I were him I would probably try and sue the AUA or something b/c that really stinks.

Yeah, that was the case for most people. Although, I do know one guy who switched from his #3 choice to his #2 choice (baylor).
