I am an IMG if i rush i will finish in time to start residency and match in 09. However I wont have any electives done by the time so no letters from there. I have not take step 2 yet but prob will before applying.Also being an IMG i'd like to be a more complete applicant maybe take step 3 finish my masters as well and do some research.Is it worth it? Or should i just rush and try to match in a community IM program? My step 1 score is good but not amazing my clinical grades are ok but nothing incredible either.Will it make a difference in terms of where i can match if i wait it out or will i be in the same boat either way? Any advice would be appreciated
