I still have a question though-- what do these numbers mean? Is PM&R still not that competitive for US seniors since there are so many spots being filled by IMG's? I guess my main question is, how many US seniors went unmatched in PM&R this year? Thanks again for your time!

Very few to none of the US grad went unmatched. "Competition" is defined by WHERE you want to do your residency. Those highly sought after spots are very competitive.
Those who did not match, possibly ranked themselves too highly and subsequently ended up scambling. The match is a two way street. You are submitting your choices as well. Regardless, you likely will match somewhere if you play your cards right.
