anyone know when those come out? I'm curious to see how many applicants there were this year and average Step 1. The SF Match website hasn't updated them yet.. no surprise

EDIT: just contacted SF match, apparently they won't be out for a few months

tough to say. The Step 1 average keeps creeping year after year. Notably, there was an increase in the % of US Graduates who matched (13 in 2010 to 26 this year). There were less actual applicants ranked this year (608) which is interesting. Otherwise, the data is pretty similar to previous years.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea what median Step 1 scores have looked like in recent years? Average Step 1's have been creeping up, but I wonder how much of that is due to more very-high scores.

Its also a fair question to wonder if that means Step 1 is becoming more and more important in the decisions or if applicants' overall competitiveness (all-around) has gone up.

i wonder how much of the slow increase in step 1 score is due to inflation... seems like the average step 1 score as a nation is slowing creeping up. just curious, what's the latest on combining step 1 and 2?
