I could probably search for this but i need to know now.

I ranked 9 derm programs and 5 prelim medicine programs.

I just got the email "Congrat's you matched" - does that mean it's a full match?

I read something on the NRMP site that said if you only got a 1 year program they say "congrats, you matched into a 1 year program"

My faculty advisor said that i won't really know until thursday?

Which is right?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that if you matched only into the prelim position, it'll say so.

Yep, you matched into a Derm program. Congrats.

"Similarly, applicants who included **only** preliminary programs on their certified rank order lists will receive this statement. The matching algorithm considers an applicant "matched" if he/she lists only one program type on his/her certified rank order list."

Looks like (by my understanding) that since you put down 2 different types of programs on the ROL, you would get the 'congrats you matched' message only if you actually matched to the Derm program.

So, congrats!
