Matched!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Matched! Congrats to all of you who made it, and good luck to those who'll go into the scramble.

There were only 7 unfilled PGY-2 radiology positions this year!

UCLAstudent, how do you know theres only 7 spots? Do unmatched people get to see how many spots are open (on monday)?

No, anyone can see it. Log into NRMP and click on "My Reports."

BTW, I matched! 😀

I matched too! Know where as well-- one advantage of not matching into a first year program, I suppose

hey all,

matched here, too. congrats all around. 👍👍

Matched! Just to be a sure if you listed prelim spots at the bottom of you Primary ROL and you fell below your ranked radiology programs you would get an email that said "congrats you matched to a one year position" and not the normal "congrats, you matched" email right?

I did and thought the same thing for a while, but you are correct. If you received the "Congratulations, you are matched!" message you're good for intern and PGY-2 positions.

The only way you'd get that message (while matching to only a one-year position) is if you only listed preliminary programs in your main rank list.

Can somebody please please please PM me a list of unfilled spots? I don't have access to the NRMP website (long story).

Congrats to all who matched...

yes, for the 7 spots mentioned above (most of them have probably filled during the scramble, but it's worth a shot).

thanks

Sorry, I haven't seen it. You might look/ask on Aunt Minnie, but there's a reason only people who registered with the NRMP and didn't match get to see it. 🙁

Please read higher up in the thread. According to UCLAstudent, anybody who has access to the website can see it (under 'My Reports'), not just unmatched applicants. I was just hoping somebody could check the site and PM me the list. Thanks.

There were only 5 spots, and 2-3 of them were wacky pathways (DIRECT, PedsRad). The remaining spots filled in less than an hour after the scramble began. I think there was a ridiculous number of unmatched applicants this year (~200 U.S. seniors, not including the FMG's).

I know. Everyone gets access to the generic regional info (the stuff cited earlier). Only those that are unmatched get specific information on which programs are unfilled.
