Hello everybody. If I want to do residency in California, will it help if I go to a California school or is it ok if I'm at a New York school?
Thanks

CA school, definitely.

I don't know if it helps that much. When I was interviewing most of the people were CA ppl that were trying to move back to their families. I think it was very common. And Program directors always know that your intent was to come to CA. I had no problems getting interviews and such, I did not even apply in any other state. It all works out!

I don't think it matters too much. I have absolutely no connection to CA and had no problem matching out there. Go wherever you wish for med school...
