If i do pathology i want to match in ny meaning manhattan or long island. Location is very important to me. Though I am worried that limiting myself to just those locations will result in notmatching somewhere! so basically i want to know how competitive it is to match in nyc/long island considering that i am an average student, avg grades, avg comlex step I score, coming from an osteopathic school, def have one gd letter coming, didn't take usmle step I, taking step II usmle, no research, blahblahblah
thanxall

You know, there's really no way to predict things. Manhattan is a popular spot and I can envision Cornell being competitive this year. But again, you're really at the mercy of who ends up applying to the NYC programs, who they try to recruit hard, and who ends up ranking them at the top of their rank lists. This match really is a crapshoot.
