Somewhat early in anticipation but I want to make sure I can have appropriate time to prepare.

After Christmas Break, we start Neuroanatomy. General Anatomy was only of my toughest classes and I just squeezed out the P, and upperclassmen have warned me that Neuroanatomy is one of the higher failed courses at our school. Since I have a fair amount of time over break, I wanted to know if anyone could recommend material to get ahead during this time? Nothing to dense but maybe some board prep material that is going to grind the major concepts. I've really enjoyed sketchy but I don't believe they have anything for neuro, so any good substitutes would be awesome. Thanks for the help!

I admittedly was not a neuroanatomy rockstar, so there's that caveat, but here's my recommendations:

--I remember that "Neuroanatomy Made Ridiculously Simple" was helpful; it's obviously not complete enough to get you through your course, but it's helpful for comprehending the big picture.
--The textbook we used was "Neuroanatomy through Clinical Cases" by Blumenfeld, and I thought it was actually really useful.
--Sounds silly, and I never REALLY had time to take advantage of it, but a neuroanatomy coloring book can help you wrap your head around some of the crazy pathways.

Physeo has a neuroanatomy section thats *totally* saved my butt. That and the netter neuroanatomy flash cards + coloring book are wroth their weight in gold.

I felt neuroanatomy was easier than regular anatomy, but maybe it is because i had adapted to med school by that time.

I think the Dr. Najeeb videos are the best to learn it. They are long, but during the break, it should be easy to read through them.
