Hi everyone, I've been working on these tests (first 2 so far) and I keep scoring 17,

I dunno I feel like those questions are almost too diffult (in regards to the amount of calculations they requre)... And those probabelity questions OWN ME hard lol

For those of u who have taken the real DAT, how does it compare to the questions in MATH destroyer (the book with 10 tests / 400 QR questions)

I did the first 5 tests... only went through them once... but spent ~3hours on each one, making sure I understood everything i was doing wrong. I thought that the real test had similar questions, just in easier form...

I took the practice DAT released by the ADA and the math section was considerably easier for me when compared to the CDP. I found similar problems but they were more simplified. For example, with word problems you can have mixing, d=rt, amount of work done, etc. In CDP these problems can be set up so that they are challenging and time consuming. On the practice test I took, the work, mixing, d=rt, etc word problems were just the most basic you can get. However that test is several years old and I have heard people say the current test has gotten harder. Just take that with a grain of salt because I dont know how true it is.

Is CDM harder or easier that math destroyer?

So am I underestanding this correct... The real DAT is somewhat easier than math destroyer or even CDM?

i personally thought the real DAT math was harder than math destroyer. more word problems on the real thing and slightly more variety, but a bunch of questions were still similar to math destroyer.

So what would you guys (who have taken the DAT) say is the best way to prepare for the math section? Were the word problems you had involve heavy algebra (this is what worries me, as I feel I'll go blank trying to come up with the equations for the word problems).

I have destroyer and math destroyer which I've been going through. What else do you guys suggest doing?

I'm not that good at math...and I'm guessing others here have a hard time with it as well....how did you guys succeed?

Thanks.

That may be an issue...

I would try and do as many word problems from math destroyer as you can, so that you get the feel of how to quickly set up the problem. I didn't really do math prep other than the first 5 tests of math destroyer, so I can't comment on how it compares to other prep materials...

Math destroyer seems to repeat certain types of questions over and over again... so the more you do, the more efficient you will get at setting them up... on the actual dat (at least my version), probably 2/3 of the problems were extremely similar to the ones I had come across in math destroyer... only difference is that they were considerably easier on the real dat (in my opinion).
