A survey was take of 180 people. Each was asked to choose their one favorite type of music. 2/3 of respondent chose classical and 1/3 chose jazz. how many of people surveyed chose neither classical music or jazz?

I don't understand his explanation of "60 people prefer jazz/pop (2/3), 40 prefer pop"

Isn't 2/3 of the respondent 120 people for classical and the 1/3 60 for jazz?

It is saying that of the 60 left (after you took 2/3 of 180 who liked classical), 1/3 of 60 likes jazz, meaning 2/3 of 60 chose neither, which would be 40 people.

I would not get this question right if I don't read the question carefully. I am not good at word questions.. No surprise my weakest section is RC.
Me too, and I take my exam tomorrow! Lol. It is my worst section
Good luck on your test tomorrow!!

@Moshi123 : thank you! just keep practicing and the math will get easier. Im just wondering if I should have waited until they changed the entire math section to take this test....

I think it will get more difficult once they change the math section. I am glad I am taking it before they change it. or do you think it will get easier?
