Answer:

y (less than or equal to) x + 4 and y (greater than or equal to) -2x + 10


How do you know which equation to pair with less than or equal to and which equation to pair with greater than or equal to?
 
If the shaded region is above the line, then it is greater than or equal to. If the shaded region is below the line, then it is less than or equal to.

You can just plug in a point into the equations and see which is true also.


19. Find the expression that best represents the shaded region, as shown, bounded by the lines y = x + 4 and y = -2x + 10.
