Hi all,

I am kinda confused with how you get negative square root of 7 over 7 when you rationalize the denominator. To me it seems you should get a positive square root of 7 over 7. Thanks for the help!

Csctheta = -sqrt7
Csc = 1/sin
So flip it, it will become 1/-sqrt7
Rationalize--> sqrt 7/-7, which is the same as - sqrt7/7 (just moved the negative to the top)
The negative sign is outside, so you leave it alone. When you rationalize, only the numbers inside the sqrt sign matter. Hope this helps!
