If I AP'd out of Calculus in high school with a 5 on the BC exam, and am currently a math minor who took Multivariable Calc as a freshman, do I still have to take Calc as a prereq? Did anyone else have a similar experience, or do I actually have to call each school I am applying to and ask?

Did you exceed the number of AP credits that your pharmacy school allows?

The only thing I need to transfer credit from is from AP Calculus - everything else I've taken in undergrad. The schools I am considering now don't specify a limit, or don't say anything about AP credit at all. I was just wondering if it is generally acceptable to just send AP scores, or are most pharm schools strict on this policy?

Thank you!

It depends on schools. Some schools only accept if it is specifically listed on your transcript for what classes you receive the credits from. If I were you, I would call the schools.

Okay, thank you! I might just take it in case I realize after the freshmen fill up the class that a new dream school I looked up doesn't accept the AP. 🙁

I got credit from the AP exam, too...but I took that **** anyway for the easy A to boost my GPA. 👍

I got some sort of Rain Man thing going on with mathematics and Organic Chemistry. I sucked hard at everything else in school.

You could also ask if they take CLEP credit for that class if for some reason they don't accept the AP course. In this way, you can just pay the CLEP fee, take the test, earn the credit, and it will show up on your transcript thereby saving you money and time...however, I do agree taking the course would give you an easy A and a boost to your GPA.
