Hey guys heres a problem that I cant figure out why they got what they did so I wanted to see what other people got.
Basically the problem says:
Want to get somewhere by 1 PM which is 5 Km away. Travel at speed of 1/3 m/s and take a 10 min break what time will you have to leave to get there on time?
I did
5Km X 1000m/1Km X 3Sec/1 m X 1 hr/3600s = 50m/12hrs So 4 hours and 20 mins which means he has to leave at 8:40 AM but remember he takes a 10 min break so he needs to leave at 8:30. They say the answer is 840 and in their answer which is not much of an explanation I see that they did factor int he break so im confused.
