Hello all, I am kinda new to this pre-dental thing and I have a question about the math prerequisites that most dental schools ask for... What exactly do you have to take?? The webpages aren't much help. What did you guys take? Do you think Precalculus (Alg/Trig) and a Statistics course would be ok?

Thanks! :)

I took Calculus I and II, for a Chemistry degree from GA TEch. Others I know only took one math class.

I took Calc II and statistics without any formal credit for calc I. So I think at least your statistics credit would be all right. I have no idea about the other one though. You might want to ask an individual dental school.

all you need is one semester of calc and you will be covered by all schools (90% sure). however, in the future i forsee the requirements changing to a full year of calc in order to cut down the applicants. give us more hurdles to jump.
