Why don't DO schools factor math courses into the science GPA like MD schools do? Just wondering...

The only subjects that contain math in medical school are biostatistics and biochemistry.

These subjects are emphasized less on the COMLEX, and are thus emphasized less in classes.

Very little math knowledge is needed in any medical school, and this is the actual reason.

I wish they did. Never did worse than an A in any of my math courses.

Must be nice. This isn't true for many people, including myself.

Why don't MD schools leave math courses out of the science GPA like DO schools do?

MD schools incorporate more research and biostats into their curriculum.
