For the first one, its for permutations, used particular for ARRANGMENTS, when order matters, like positioning people in line, & the latter, is for combinations, when order doesn't matter, the common example for the second one is committiee formation. howabout those darn work/rate problems where there is one group of people working in a set amount of time and then they amp up their people power and you are suppose to find out how long it will take them to finish the same job or something to that extent.
anyone know any formulas or set framework on how you are suppose to solve this?
