Ok, so I have the Destroyer now and have been told its good practice for the DAT, but if I want a review book, other than Kaplan DAT 3rd edition, what do you guys recommend for review/practice of math problems that are on the DAT, an SAT math book? a GRE math book? both? are either one missing any topics that will be on the DAT? thanks

i have both the destroyer and the kaplan 2007 edition. the destroyer has very good practice problems, similar to those you will see on the actual exam. i also have my old SAT book which i use for practicing math problems. i suggest a barrons math book for more practice problems. and if thats not enough, get a plain old textbook. i think any textbook for high school math would be just fine. if you feel like you need even more practice, get achiever and topscore, which will give you practice in all the subjects, and not just math. hope this helps

Thanks for the reply but the trouble with this kind of review is that a lot of things are thrown in there: algebra, numerical calculations, conversions, trigonometry, geometry (hate it), probability and statistics, and word problems. You would have to get a textbook for 4 of those topics each, I want a review book that will cover all topics (or most and refer to a text for the missing topic) and since I've read here and there that sat math is very similar to the DAT math section I was just wondering if everyone agreed or better yet, had a review/book with more practice they would really recommend, I guess people here hate this topic so much they don't want to reply lol, but a couple of people suggested SAT I and that my GRE books wont cover trig in another thread I started (the SAT I, GRE math review + Kaplan DAT review+ destroyer+ topscore +achiever will probably be enough practice), so I guess that's the best I can help out, unless anyone else wants to jump in here and let us know a secret lol.

Barrons SAT II IC covers all of the major topics. if you have the time to go through it all well and relearn all of that material you should be fine. its a little weak on the word problems the dat loves so much these days but for that you can always use purplemath.com

Wow life can never be made easy, I go into a barnes and noble and look through study guides for math, all GRE stuff has no trig material and is slightly lacking in complete geometry material, and all SAT stuff covers all DAT sections BUT..... is based on calculator use, but I figure if I can work on those problems with no calculator I'll be set for the DAT, so im buying princeton review cracking the sat 1 and 2 book.
