I would like to say that I read some more, but that would be exaggerating.
I read page 1, part of page 2, and part of whatever page my prior post put me on.

My thoughts about the state of the game were "santy doesn't look towny in first pass, looks fine on second pass," and no one else stood out to me in the 50ish posts I did read with a lens of scrutiny.

I see I have pings but I am currently ignoring them. Keep pinging me and I'll read them eventually.

Some things that raised flags for me:


1) such a hello fellow kids entrance

2) the winky face is a little triggering. and to hide it in a spoiler?!?!

3) 198 was not the towniest post in the thread, it could very easily be performative. and this feels like a buddying attempt. like you don't ask them to jump in the pocket just yet, but take a look around and see that it's cozy.

it's not anything obviously damning, but your aura is a deep orange. and while i do love a good rich orange color, it's also one step away from wolfy red. idk i'm thinking about it.

1) Yeah, that's kinda the vibe, on purpose.

2) Honestly not sure how to respond to what appears to be an(other) emoji read?

3) What do you think the towniest post in thread is, then? Because from where I'm sitting, Gikkle gave a non-exhaustive overview of the game, didn't come off as too hedgy or too confrontational, and asked some decent questions. It also doesn't have that wolfy shape of trying to give equal attention to everyone. If it's performative, it's a pretty good show, TBH.

Yeah Gikkle feels town to me, even nonwithstanding the big wall of quotes he gave. Just feels like a towny making his way through the world.

I also noted that samac's early suspicion of me was towny too, so we'll add that to the list.

Genny shares my town reads, so genny can be towny for now as well

Towniest post is obviously anything i post. but gikkle's wasn't too shabby either. as far as "decent questions" go, they pretty much all boil down to "hey you, what are your reads?" which sure, good to ask. but also not super hard for a wolf to ask. anyway, this is kind of moot because i'm not arguing your TR of gikkle; i think that's fine. it's the way you made that read that makes me go hmm.

I play all over the place, usually under a different couple of names. Giant im the Playground is where I learned the game. The Org is where I actually honed my skills.

Gikkle feels null so far, not much there. This felt off though:

This was their 3rd post and first two were basically nothing. Seems like a way to give themselves village cred by contributing little to nothing. Kind of a way to low-key get into mild village leans while laying low. Comes off as more of a sneaky entrance than town imo.

For the record, "towny mindmeld" following a nothingburger of a post is usually just a way to jokingly say "mood."

Feel free to scumread that post and this one explaining it, but I say ✨ ❇️ to your scumreading site cultural differences.

I don't have the meta that santy has, so from my perspective these posts are nothing special. If another person familiar with genny's meta aside from Santy can confirm that genny has a meta of not really providing independent thoughts as a wolf (and that these posts in this game are outside of that wolf meta), then I'd be willing to trust in a >rand town genny (for now)

That being said, @genny could I get some explanations for these reads?

Cut out a lot of wildzoo's posts bc it's literally all fluff

I liked Stagg's call out of spacecamp. Lean town for rn.

The way Shinichi phrases that top post rings some bells for me (the "if anything the slot should currently just be null" part), but it's nothing strong. More like a "I feel like wolves are more inclined to say something like that bc it makes them look like they have are contributing to the discussion in some way"

Don't really get any kind of vibe from this, but it does sort of unpair Achromatic & Santy in my mind. Just feels like a weird way to talk about a partner right off the bat.

meh posts, towny mindmeld makes no sense bc I was just asking how to vote (possibly a joke? but in that case he's posted nothing substantial, so...)

@Santygrass and @mkg323 both claimed to have liked his entrance - could you both elaborate on what it was in these posts that seemed townie to you?

Like Wild Zoo, Clem is relatively active but entirely unhelpful. Not a good look.

Tonally, Santy comes across a bit forced. Like they're trying to appear relaxed/uninformed.

Actual content of their posts isn't terrible? I liked the explanation for the genny read, although it isn't anything unfakable.

I'll probably need to see how Santy plays out this day phase before I come to an actual solid read on them tbh

A lot of fluff, but a couple helpful posts mixed in. This is at least better than WildZoo & Clem, but still nothing great.

Response to me was fairly good, rest of their posts could go either way. >rand town.

I initially liked the energy of these posts - came across as a villager excited to solve.

The actual content of the posts is meh - lots of unexplained reads. I would like to see more of @samac's actual thought processes for their reads.

Cooould be getting pocketed here? But I actually did like the very last post here. Doubling down on the TR after saying I distrust people who TR me is a fairly good look imo.

Clarification that I only have some sort of confidence on the top 3 , then its mostly vibes + not a strong wolf read but we balling either way.

Not planning to say what is my current perception tha makes me think Zenge is town because it mostly depends on what I *feel* he is thinking/his head is at while in lurking mode that made me feel like Zenge was doing solving in the back but I could be proven wrong of that if Zenge in the future elaborates and doesnt add up with what I felt.

Ah, I'll have confidence enough for both of us! Basically I like to develop a world day 1 and see where it leads. I don't think there's any harm in giving easy breezy reads early and see if the world takes shape around a scum yeet or not.

Yes, it depends mostly if I think their take on me is real or no which is something I have trouble having a clear view .

Like, if they really just have no recollection of the recent past games with me to just feel magically off and complain about stuff that I kinda always do, then I think its probably Town!Stagg because part of me doesnt think that as scum I would be the first slot they try to go to. Its prob the reason I didnt vote him back

On the other hand I cant really believe their perception holds up and before doing their vote there were two people sorta questioning me so it feels like they were capitalizing or trying to start a focus of sus on me, being the 'off' sentiment mostly what other townies felt and not a real tought from him.

stagg is a pokey individual.
But he’s sketchy 99% of the time though in recent some games town stagg has been distinct in a way I don’t want to outline at this point because I don’t want to give him a playbook. But he hasn’t had that energy yet.
