Maximizing chances after interviews

What have you guys been doing to keep schools thinking about you after interviewing? I have already sent thank you notes but would like to remind admissions that I really care about getting in to their school! Any ideas?

You've done all you can do at that point. Nobody likes naggy, not even adcoms I'd presume...

I'm Vice President of the Pre-Dental society at my school and I have helped organize trips to attend open houses at some of the schools I have interviewed at. It helps those who are planning to apply next cycle express interest and get their name out there as well as remind members of the adcom that I have applied/interviewed and I am remaining active throughout the cycle. This isnt an option for everyone especially as we get closer to December 2nd but I think it has been beneficial.

All I did is send a thank you. However, one of my good friends is applying to med school and she said it was pretty common practice to send a "first choice letter" to your top choice (interview or not). She's actually sent out two - one to her true first choice, which is a bit of a stretch school because of GPA/MCAT and then a first choice letter to one of the schools she interviewed at after the interview - I think it was kind of incorporated into her thank you.

With things like this, I've always gone with the philosophy of simply doing what you feel is right. Don't over-analyze it because anyone on the admissions committee certainly won't. 😛

In hers she mentioned that school was her top choice and explained why. It's was mostly things such as "your mission of service closely aligns with my values" ect.
