Maximum score with 2 resources (FA+UW)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Honestly I find some of these polls ridiculous. A lot of what determines how you score is how well an individual can logically reason out the questions and how well they retain the information. 1000 people who use the same sources are going to score in a wide range.

Asking a forum for the "answer" to your question won't tell you anything. How is anyone qualified to tell you what the max score you can attain from these sources are.

yeah i know. I'm talking about the average student, what the majority of us can do with this resources.

Depends on how sm...

Sorry, lost my train of thought on the stupidity of this thread.

Nobody forced you to open the thread my friend 🙂

You're right. I wanted to state that I thought the thread was incredibly stupid.

I'll indulge you, though.

If you're like a particular student in my class that scored 98th percentile when we took the basic science exam, with three days worth of preparation, I would take a wild guess and say you might score somewhere around a 270.

If you're like that lowly soul who scored a 75.0 in all of the classes, barely passed, and managed a 12th percentile in the basic science exam, good luck on your second try after you fail this one.

I'm not trying to be horribly mean, but there are just some questions that are impossible to answer.

Edit: I just saw your other post...I don't see why you couldn't score a 230 or better.

Too true. A 4.0 student with these resources will do exponentially better on the test than the 2.8 with the same goods.

These are numerous people on here that are scoring over 250's on practice tests right now, that haven't even completed their first pass through either resource.

Of course it depends on the performance in medical school, that's obvious! The question was: if you know everything what's in FA+UW and understand those concepts well what score will you get. That was the purpose! And to guide people who are relying on these 2 sources only.

best luck for your exam

i'm doing just that, and I had a 258 on uwsa #1 (my first one) and a 233 CBSA in March.

Lots of people do well with just those resources, the problem is that if you don't understand what's going on in the first place, you can't get through first aid and get much from it.

It's kind of impossible to get through 2 years of medical school (in my case 3 years) without understanding the majority of concepts depicted in FA! I had difficulty in some topics (but that's another story, I'm an average student from a school that is very different from us schools) so I decided to read RR path, BRS physio, HY neuro and cmmrs. Only after that I went to FA!
