Hey guys, I haven't seen any threads for those who will be taking the exam on May 14 so I decided to create this thread. I will personally be retaking the exam on May 14, so for those of you who will be taking it on the same day, how are you doing so far in terms of preparation? How are you guys also feeling as we get closer to the exam day?

Hey, I'm taking the MCAT on the 14th as well. I've just been hanging out in the May 20th thread because it was closest. Prep has been going pretty good. I'm just taking full lengths and reviewing them at this point. Yesterday I took the AAMC unscored full length and the Wednesday before that I took Next Step FL1. I plan on going over the AAMC full length this week and start taking the rest of my NS exams

That's good to hear man. I've been taking a lot of FL exams lately as well. I just took the scored exam on Saturday and I thought it went well. Hopefully I do as well or better on the actual exam. As the days go by though, I'm getting more and more nervous so hopefully everything goes well for us!

Hahaha for real! I can't imagine how I'm going to feel come May 14th, driving to the testing center. The horror.

Whats ups dudes and dudettes! I took the MCAT last cycle and got a 27 (8,9,10), applied to DO schools and interviewed at 2 schools and am wait listed at both... Retaking the MCAT. I hope I get into one of the two schools prior and can cancel because I hate the MCAT with a passion. Hoping for a 508+

So far I've taken 3 Next step FL, 3 Kaplan FL, 1 EK full length, and all the free diagnostic tests companies offer. Taking the AAMC unscored tomorrow!

In case you guys are curious about my scores... they're all over the board and I found out I make A LOT of stupid mistakes, so hopefully I can fix that and bump up more points.

Full length scores go as: total (Bio, CARS, Psych, Phys/chem)
Gold standard diagnostic: 499 ( 127, 124, 124,124)
Altius free half length Diagnostic 510 (126,128,128,128)
Kaplan Full length # 1 500 (127,123,126,124)
Kaplan Full length #2 499 (126,124,124,125)
Kaplan Full length #3 498 (123, 124,125,126)
Next Step diagnostic 501 (126,124,125,126)
Next step full length #1 504 (126, 124,127,127)
Next step full length #2 503 (126,126,125,126)
Next step full length #3 503 (127,125,126,125)
Exam Krackers Full length #3 59% (56%, 59%, 64%, 58%) (took test and felt extremely burned out while taking)

I heard Next Step scores are usually a little lower than what you get on the real thing! So good job 🙂

I took a few of the old MCAT's early on to get a feel for the test, and I've taken a couple TPR full lengths, 1 NS full length, and the unscored sample. My goal is 510+

My scores are:
28, 28, 27, 30
Then TPR (very early on in content review):
498, 497
And Next Step:
FL1: 507
And the AAMC Unscored Sample:
71%/91%/81%/81%

I have a tough time with most anything organic chemistry or physics because I haven't taken either of those classes yet. And while I haven't taken Biochem either, I understand it fairly well and tend to do well on those sections of the test. I've just been teaching myself the basics [emoji23]

Hey guys, I'm also taking the test May 14th, my scores so far:

Kaplan#1: 496
Kaplan#2: 501
Kaplan#3: 497
Kaplan#4: 505
Kaplan#5: 502
AAMC unscored: 66%, 58%, 68%, 80%

I'm having a lot of trouble gauging where I'm at, at this point. I review all my exams and tell myself I won't make that mistake again but then I get a new passage and just continue getting things wrong. I'm having a lot of trouble interpreting graphs and understanding whats going on in passages that are heavy with figures. Not really sure what to do about it.

Hey man, your Kaplan scores are honestly great! I never got above a 500 on Kaplan exams! Have you done the section bank yet? It's very helpful when it comes to experimental passages.

Yup, I've done the BC and C/P twice. I scored around a 60% then improved to about an 80% on each of them the second time around a while later. Definitely very helpful but not easy at all

Hey, that is interesting that your Altius score was noticeably higher. The 1/2-length is hard to make predictive, and its a little easier than our FLEs, but if you want a full-length from Altius to add to your comparison PM me and I can get you one. Our statisticians just updated the scoring scale based on our growing data. Last year our students mostly went up by a few to several points from our exams, so with these adjustments I was expecting my students to score higher, but go up less, or none, on test day. Looking at that list, I'm confident you are well above a 500-503 range and that 510 might be about right.
