Can you believe it 13 more days are left? let's see which schools everyone hears from come May 15th....

I'm waiting to hear from one school that I've been waitlisted 😛

has anyone been pulled off ANY waitlist during the past week!?

buckle your seat belts...it is going to be an intense ride 🙂

I seriously doubt waitlists are gonna start moving exactly on May 15th. That's just the tentative date by which everyone has to have dropped all of their acceptances except 1 (unless there are extenuating circumstances), but you gotta give the schools some time to figure out who they have left in their class, and decide how exactly they're gonna fill the empty spots. I dunno, I'd say the end of May before we see serious movement off waitlists! Damn, it hurts me just to type that. As if we haven't all waited long enough!

kills me too since I am in a position where there were few slots and fewer WL spots.

Hail Mary full of grace.....

*tick tock tick tock* goes the big clock. I feel for you guys. I have four waitlists now and still no acceptances.

But, alas, good things come to those who wait.

I'm sure everything will work out but....

I'm trying not to be too optomistic! Think about it, there are as many as 300 people on each of these waitlists and only 30 or so will get off. those are horrible odds.

I got off the UC Davis "hold" list last Wednesday (of course I didn't find out about it til Monday). The waitlist movement has definitely begun...for some schools. I've already notified the Albany med to withdraw my acceptance. Good luck to all of you still waiting...good news is just around the corner.

but ThingAMaJig and others with no acceptances do have something to look forward to (people with no acceptances have significantly higher chance of getting pulled off the waitlist)...praying won't hurt though

Yup no movement for awhile -- I have been annoying and calling schools, and the party line at this point is that waitlists will start moving in early June. booooooo waitlists. The only positive thing about this is that I am hoping people will get sick of waiting and just pick a school, and us patient folk will get a shot at smaller waitlists. I know that I have dropped waitlists from equally good schools just because I don't care any more.

Additionally, the waitlists will start moving from the bottom up. As we have already seen, some of the non-ranked schools have already started taking students off their waitlists as they get earlier withdrawls. Thus, if you are waiting on one of those schools, check the mail now! Mid-range schools will probably start moving in the next couple of weeks, but if you are waiting on one of the big boys, I would be prepared to be very patient. people will hold acceptances at those until they are forced to drop them (as is readily obvious from reading peoples comments on this board.) I am not expecting anything to come my way in May, although I will certainly call the schools after May 15 and see if they have anything to tell me!
