May 15th Deadline For DO?

So I thought it was only MD but apparently AACOM says they will notify schools if you are holding multiple acceptances after 5-15.

I am still waiting on financial aid info and for other reasons I am still deciding between schools... what if you don't notify them by today? Is this something that just started this year?

This is news to me, but if you are waiting for financial aid for some schools that could be awhile (June/July) so if possible I would try and decide. But as far as them letting schools know of you holding acceptances I don't know about that.
