So, I know tons of people ask this question. But I was hoping some people wouldn't mind giving me some feedback..
I want to apply to DPT programs when the application cycle opens in July 2012.
Was wondering if anyone has advice on how to improve my application? What do you think my chances of getting in are?

Was valedictorian of my high school class (i know this probably doesn't really matter to DPT programs)
Did my undergraduate in 3 years - 5 semesters on campus, 1 semester abroad.
3.396 overall GPA
3.40 prerequisite GPA
- still have to take Physics I, Physics II (already signed up to take this summer) and a Psychology course.
GRE: in the 1200s for verbal/quantitative. 5.0 analytical.
Shadowing I currently have about 62 hours total from: a private, ortho outpatient clinic, outpatient pediatrics associated with the local hospital, and inpatient acute care with a local hospital.
I work about 45 hours per week
Besides this I don't have a lot of extracurriculars as I've been out of school for 2 years.
I play tennis, ski, ice skate, paint, read, go to church..
are those things worth putting on my application as "extracurriculars"?
Since I'm out of school I just do them on my own.. not with a club or anything.
Should I be putting the clubs/offices I held when I was in college even though that was several years ago now?
What else can I do to strengthen my application?
I plan to continue shadowing until the deadline. I am shooting for about 150 hours.
Looking at: Pitt, Arcadia, Chatham, WVU, Wheeling Jesuit, Widener, Temple, Drexel.

Any advice/opinions are appreciated!

You've observed in many PT settings but in most schools 100 hours is the requirement. so as long as you go for that 150 hr goal I think you'll be fine.

I think as long as you do well in the rest of your courses, and keep up with the shadowing you should be okay. Make sure that you develop a relationship with the PTs you are shadowing and your professors so you can get good LORs. I have been out of school since 2003 and I put down the stuff I did in college. I don't know if it helped, but I don't think it could hurt. It wouldn't hurt to find some current extracurriculars to put down- maybe a committee or something at your church. I found that none of the interviews I went to asked about my extracurriculars like they did to the applicants that are still in school, but instead asked about my job and my kids. Good luck!

Your stats and chances of getting in are good!

Focus on getting the best grades you can in your remaining prereqs.

Yes, list your extracurriculars/hobbies as well as your club affiliations from college. It can't hurt.

Definitely get more shadowing/volunteer hours, and if you can go beyond the 150 hours, even better. You also might try to squeeze in some community service. One of my interviewers asked about my community service involvement, but did not ask about extracurriculars at all.

Good luck!

Not trying to be rude, but I think you are worrying way too much. Your stats are already very high. I think you already have a high chance of acceptance to many of those schools even without anymore changes to your application.
