Mayo: Fee and LOR

Does anybody know if Mayo actually sends an email requesting your LORs and Secondary Fee or are just supposed to automatically send them and pay it?

If it's anything like how it worked last year...

-you can call them to submit your fee or you will receive an email (last year $70)
-if selected for a phone interview (their "secondary") you will be asked to submit your LOR....they only select ~500 for this stage, so don't worry about it if you don't
-they'll keep you updated regarding the time of your interview and the details regarding the rest of the process

I'm not sure about the LORs, but they definitely send you an e-mail asking for the 2ndary fee before they review your AMCAS app.

I sent an email to the admissions office asking about the fee and how to pay it. I couldn't find any info on their website.

No phone interview this year... apparently it will be essays... I'd imagine you send your check in w/ the essays like everywhere else.

They're one of those pay up front schools. Once they have your money then they'll decide if they're actually interested in reviewing the rest of your application (i.e. if you should send in your LORs).

How do you guys know it's essays and not phone interviews? Where did you get that info from😕

So let me get this right... we send in the $85 fee. We are screened and if selected get a secondary app with essays and asked to submit LORs at that time.

Is this right?

they sent me the email and had me pay the money. the email stated that if they want my LORs, then they would send me another email at a later date.
