the residency program just started last year. the chairman is john earle, who was the chairman at mayo before he left to head the dept up in jacksonville. a young department overall, 4-5 attendings, all the gadgets you would want, in an area with great weather.

Quick question for those interviewing at Mayo Jax for radonc. Has anyone been able to coordinate the radonc and transitional year interviews on the same day or back-to-back? I am trying to have one less trip this season... Post or PM me!

unless things changed from last year (I doubt it) the only people who get TY positions at Mayo-JAX are categoricals in Radonc and Rads, and maybe derm (can't remember). Although not all the categoricals, rads included, can't really have a space, if you match in radonc I would bet you got a space. The interview, like most TY's is an "informational session" with the PD. I would call a make sure, but the TY interview was a 2 hour slot during the radonc interview.
