Mayo Letter = Rejection???

I just spoke with the admissions office at Mayo and they told me, "A letter was mailed to you on 12/5 so you should be hearing from us shortly." Should I expect a rejection? I read that they e-mail for interview invites. 😕
 
I called Northwestern a while back (cause they were SO SLOW sending my secondary) and asked about my status. They told me to be expecting something in the mail soon. When I asked if it was a rejection, she told me she couldn't tell me.......

Anyhow long story short...... it was an invite to submit a seconary.

So you never know..... and if your e-mail filters junk mail.... you might not have received it.

I wouldn't worry until I got the letter.

I suppose you're right, but I'm fearing the worst.
 
Yea, I am in the same boat. Just called them up... The letter was sent out on 12/3. Still haven't received it though.
It is probably a HOLD status notification or worse.

Yup, I'm pretty sure that's a rejection... Sorry, buddy.
 
My experience when calling a couple of months ago was that "you should be receiving a letter from us any day now," means "your rejection will take a week to reach you after this phone call." 🙁

Sorry, but it doesn't sound good.

agreed..........an email invited me to pay the damn app fee, but a snail-mail dropped the rejection bomb on me..............bastards coulda let me keep my $$$ at least, as I am a broke college student

Hate to say it, but that's probably a rejection. Mayo loves email
