How difficult is it to get an interview? Do the interview most people or is it a pretty good sign if you get an invite?

FREIDA is your friend. Mayo (Rochester) interviewed ~350 applicants last year. Many of my classmates got an invite from Mayo but not other programs (Northwestern, Univ of Chicago, Duke, WashU, etc) so I don't think they are as competitive. This was also the case with people that I know who applied in previous years. Nonetheless, it is a great program.

I would say they're less selective in who they interview, not less competitive overall. I interviewed there last Year and have to say, I think the program is incredible
