I am new to this subject. Need some advise.
I am looking for information about this degree. from what I hear, MHA and MBA are both widely available across USA, but from different posts on this forum MBA might be a better idea for MDs. I am an MD, new to US and have no exp. in administrative side of hospital. Have worked in surgery and emergency med before but would like to work in hospital administration in future.
I am geographically restricted to Illinois and need some expert opinion about all or any programs there. I have looked at websites for Rush Uni, UIC and Loyola so far.
1- Are any of these programs superior to other?
2- being an international graduate and foreign citizen, how tough will it be for me to get into one decent program?
3- Any tips of essay writing. I have medical background and have written essays for medicine jobs, never for administration stuff.
4- is Chicago very competitive?
5- Do all of you pay out of pocket for these degrees or are student loans readily available?
will appreciate any advice.
