Hello all! I've been a lurker for a while now, but finally decided to post in order to get some recommendations on what you all think is better.
In short, I have gotten into Mississippi College's Master of Biology (Medical Sciences) program as well as UT Dallas' Masters in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience program.
So with the goal of med school in mind which program would you recommend going to?
Some info about me that I feel would be useful:
I am a Californa resident, though I will be graduating from the University of Nevada.
My GPA isn't the best but has shown an upward trend. I got my AA from a CC in California with a 2.8GPA. So far at Nevada, I'm at a 3.5.
I have a tiny bit of shadowing experience but nothing involving research.
And for whats its worth I'm a Marine vet that is still in the reserves.
Currently, my thought process is that MC would show that I can handle the academic rigors of med school while UTD would make me a more well-rounded applicant.
Thanks in advance.
