Hey I wanted to know what my chances were of getting into medical school. Legal green card citizen or what ever its called. I lived here for 13 years. cGPA 3.4, sGPA 3.3, MCAT of 520. I originally applied after my senior year with an MCAT score of 502 and got denied (what was I thinking), anyways, its been 3 years, I have 900 clinical hours and over 100 hours of shadowing. I have over 1000<x hours of research and I will start my clinical volunteering next week or so and get my volunteering hours done as well before the cycle. I am not sure what race I am (not even sure if that plays a role) but I am from Uzbekistan (if you have any idea what that my race is please let me know). College athlete, president of some clubs.. etc etc. I currently work at Yale Medical school for research, but my residency status is in Ga. I do not care about the rank of the school, I am more interested in applying places where I will see snow and such because it keeps my stress levels low. I was interested in Vermont but I do not know my chances. I went to top 20 undergrad school in US but... again idk if that matters. I had a friend who had a 4.0 and 518 and he only got accepted to 5/24 school so I guess I want to know whether I have a chance or not or if I should just go for DO.
I forgot to mention that I also won an award for my poster at Yale this year. Not sure if this makes much of a difference. (I am not trying to be humble, I am more skeptical since research doesn't seem to be that important for MD.)
