What should I do with this score? Will 9 & 10 on the sciences good enough to prove to the medical school admissions officers that I have what it takes to be in their schools? I am 29 years old Pacific Asian, have about three years of clinical experience as a mental health professional and 8 years of pastoral work (hopefully this will translate into demonstrating my commitment to working with people), and English is my third language.

Any comments on my stat would be appreicated.

It's hard to tell with just that statistic. What is your cumulative and science GPA?

When are you planning on applying?

What schools will you apply to?

A 26 will make it hard to get into allopathic schools, but if your GPA is good enough, maybe osteopathic could be an option. It depends. There's a lot more to applying than an MCAT statistic.

I agree...an allopathic school might be more difficult (but not impossible) to get into. DO schools are a great option and tend to be less numbers-based in their admissions process. If you have your heart set on MD I would re-take the MCAT.

Hi there,
If English is not your native language, many schools might overlook that 7V especially if your GPA is high. Sometimes under the time constraints of the MCAT, non-English speakers have difficulty with the verbal section.

If your GPA is strong (<3.6) I would apply to a good cross section of schools (especially DO schools) and see what happens. You might have a fair shot if the rest of your application is strong.
