so if i apply early, but need to take the MCAT again, will schools refer to that first set of scores and screen out applicants or will they wait for the new scores to come in before screening me out as an applicant???

i scored worst on my second try than my first so im thinking i need to take it a third time. i went from a 30 to a 27 only bc of verbal.
1. do i have a chance with my old score?
2. do schools really take the higher score?
3. which schools take the best out of each section?

If you indicate on your application that you are taking the MCAT again (there is a place to do this), then schools will wait for your updated scores (unless they give you an interview based on your current scores).

1. Depends on the rest of your application
2. Depends on the school
3. This is listed in the MSAR

Please, if you are going to retake the MCAT again, make sure you are prepared and get a better score. It doesn't look very good when you retake and get progressively worse. That indicates that you can't adjust and learn from your experiences, a quality not very appealing in a medical student.
