Not for me - my bio, chem and physics classes have over prepared me for the MCAT. There arent any questions that I see that completely stump me with new material - the problem is usually remembering what it was that I learned.
It's really going to depend on where you went to school. If you took general bio and chem at a community college, you probably didnt learn everything that you need to know.
On another thread somebody mentioned that you should take Molecular Bio and Genetics to prep for the MCAT, was that not accurate? Would Chem I, O Chem I, Bio, and Physics be sufficient?

Actually, the g-chem I took at community college made the same course at UCSD seem pretty pathetic.
As far as pre-reqs, I thought having genetics and cell bio helped quite a bit, considering the changing emphases of the MCAT bio section. But I agree it's possible to know so much that you trick yourself. Simple strategy: think like a crusty old white male test writer, and you will do fine.
