MCAT before Physics II?

Hi guys,
I guess this question is more towards people who have already taken the MCAT. I am currently taking my first semester of physics, and I was going to wait until after my second semester to take the MCAT. I am studying MCAT physics concurrently with my lecture. I recently heard from someone that it made no difference that he/she took the MCAT while taking physics 2. Obviously this may depend on which exam you are given (some versions of the MCAT may have more concepts normally taught in physics 2).. but it may not.
Thoughts on this?

I have not taken the mcat yet, so disregard my opinion if you wish. I have had a lot of friends take it however, and all of them say that you absolutely need physics 2 before you take the exam (particularly circuits and optics). I'm actually in your same boat: in physics 1 now, taking physics 2 next semester and taking the mcat 4/26. I plan on using my TPR physics book to get ahead of where my class is so I will have enough time for practice. This way, as we cover things in my physics 2 lecture, its solidifying the basics that I've already been exposed to and taught myself from my prep book. My pre-med advisors seem to agree that this is the best option given my situation. I hope this helps 🙂

That seems like a good option. I was going to sign up in May until I thought about this a bit more. Thanks for the input

I did exactly that. I taught myself physics two with kaplan materials (that was the only class I had not taken).

Honestly, there are a ton of questions with it, BUT they're mostly similar to each other. You CAN do it, but I would recommend taking the class.
