The science videos that are available, Are they of a live person explaining concepts? Are they all animations? Are they showing lab techniques (molecular bio)? Combinations?

Most of the videos are capturing "a live person explaining concepts" in front of a whiteboard. Separately, we also have recordings of our Virtual Classrooms which reviews content and problem solving; here is an example: MCAT Physics Problems (youtube)

Does the online course only come with the "online chapters" or does the course come with materials in print/book format as well?

This is good. I definitely like live people. I enjoy that the link posted showed the person making diagrams on the screen. Didn't know we had those capabilities.

The online course only comes with "online chapters", not physical "print/book" chapters. For those interested in obtaining the physical "print/book" format of the material as well, one can purchase the Gold Standard MCAT book by clicking here.

If we do the online course and then we're not ready to take the MCAT, can we extend our subscription?
Thanks!

Yes, the subscription can be extended. On average, students require 3-6 hours per day for 3-6 months to prepare adequately (of course this may be different depending on past experience with the basic sciences and reading experience).

Are the online chapters downloadable as PDFs or any other format that could be used on smart phones or electronic readers? Can the chapters be printed?

Do you recommend using only Gold Standard when studying or would you suggest supplementing it with another companies materials?

Will 1 month of subscription include all of the practice exams?

When did the last major revision of the course materials take place? How do you ensure that the materials are up to date?

Every Fall, after "MCAT season" (Jan-Sept), we do a major content review. Our review is based on post MCAT feedback from students and new AAMC publications or online postings.

The Crash Course has all the same video material as the physical DVDs. MCAT University also has recordings of the online Virtual Classrooms.

Through the crash course, do you have a method of asking questions and someone can get back to you about answers/clarifications?

What is the percentage of students using the MCAT Crash Course (online) scoring a 30 or better on the MCAT?

As mentioned for MCAT University, our only study was to evaluate students who used these programs as part of our complete package: the Complete MCAT Course. These students were followed for 3 years during which 2/3rds were admitted to medical school.

How effective is this online course found to be? Since everything is online, how can an instructor be reached if we have questions or difficulty understanding a topic?

MCAT Crash Course does not have live online help. However, MCAT University has live online chat 1:1 with the teacher plus there are online classrooms which are full interactive with less than 10 students per class.

Wow! Chatting with the MCAT teachers to solve your problems is indeed a very good step to help the students. I think that this will be a huge hit and is quite convenient too. Moreover, the online learning is promoted here which would pave the path for the future online learning process.

Does the crash course come with any verbal practice other than in the CBTs?
