Oh geez, you know when the MCAT scores will be coming back when you start to dream about getting the envelope in the mail. This is what I've been doing the last few nights, last night I dreamt it twice. The first time it was a small envelope, then the second time a big envelope. I never see the scores though!! THAT WOULD BE NICE!!!
I'm starting to get really nervous now, the only thing I'm concerned about are those scores!!

ANXIOUSLY WAITING IT OUT BY THE MAILBOX,

Mossjoh

Ah, the MCAT dream - I had one two nights before the exam itself in which I let one of my friends, a classics major, take the exam for me because I wanted to sleep in. He came back after the PS section and told me he could only answer 8 of the 77 questions (but thought he had done alright on VR), so I decided to try and salvage the bio section and raced to the test center. When I arrived, I was handed a very thick test booklet. I opened it only to find what seemed to be a Sears catalog with lots of clothing advertisements. I flipped through the first and last 20 pages or so and began panicking when I realized that I could not find the bio questions! After what seemed to be about 25 minutes, I finally found the test questions hidden in the middle of the catalog - at which point I woke up in a sweat.

I too have had MCAT dreams, mostly postitive. In one of them two of my friends from high school (I'm 33 y/o) that I haven't seen or talked to for years also took the test and one scored a 36 the other a 32 though neither is science-inclined, and I got a 34. I remember having a hard time getting into the scores and then having trouble adding them up!

Any day now... 😛

This is hillarious. Dude, you have some serious mental problems! 😀

I feel everyone out there who's going nuts too! It sucks. I picked up a medical school directory listing thing and got so pissed when I couldn't narrow it down. I need to know so I can get on with my freak'n life.

My advice is to apply to three tiers of schools based on your guess on how you did--schools which have a tendency to be a bit more forgiving of lower scores, mid-range schools, and dream schools. I took the August MCAT last year and this strategy worked well for me. Good luck!!

I had the MCAT nightmares before the test! But I'm glad to hear that everyone is stressing as much as I am over this!
😀

Get this....My dad had a dream about my MCAt score a couple of weeks ago! I must talk about it an awful lot if he is dreaming about it too. All he said was that he dreamed that I got 10's! He doesn't even know how the MCAt is scored. He asked "Are 10's good?". Strange huh? I also had a dream a few nights ago that i got such high scores that Mayo, Harvard, and Hopkins were all trying to come to my house to interview me, but my gigantic dog wouldn't let them get out of their cars!! no joke.

later

I am glad I am not the only one who has worried about the MCAT! I was quite nervous about the exam after I took it, but somehow I have miraculously managed to stop worrying these past few days! I'm sure the anxiety will return once it gets closer to mid-June. I really do not want to have to re-take the test again!!! I hope we manage to find some polite way to discuss our reactions to our scores on this forum...

I thought I'd be worried out by now, with only about two weeks until the scores should come in. No such luck, I'm as worried and anxious as ever.

Dreams? One night I bombed it, the next I aced it. You just can't tell. One time I dreamed I got my scores in and couldn't read them. Oh the agony. 🙁

I just can't stand knowing that my numerical scores are probably setting on a shelf somewhere. I wish they'd send the numbers out ASAP and forward the writing score later.

Had a dream last night that I got my scores. The results: 22VR, 19PS, 0BS. Well, I guess that's a 41...

Last night I had a dream that I jsut got my scores and I got 13 VR, 14 PS, 13BS, T W, and I didnt even write the MCAT!!!

The other night I dreamed I made a 2! I'm pretty anxious about it too. I'm trying not to get too excited though because last year I took it and did awful, so now I'm sitting around telling myself that I just HAD to do better this year because I really worked my behind off ( unlike last year)

Oh geez...Just wait till you have the Cadavor dream first year after spending hours upon hours studying for the practical...now THAT is disturbing!! 🙁

Yes, I had the MCAT dream last night! I worrying about these scores, but I'm not sending any apps until I see how I did! I know this isn't recomended, but I can't get a log-on name on the darn AMCAS site anyway!!!!! 😡

EUROdocMOM...I wouldn't worry about waiting for the scores to come before submitting. Everyone I know did that and got in to all of their top choices...what that taught me=there isn't too much a difference between submitting june 18th or july 5th considering how many people are actually applying on the august MCAT round.
Anyway, my MCAT dream is a 22...I don't believe in the relevance of dreams! At least I hope not.
