Hello everyone,

Doing a shot in the dark here, but does anyone know if there is a word/character limit for essays written for the writing section on the MCAT? I understand there is a fundamental limit to how much one can write in a half hour under circumstances such as the MCAT, but I am wondering if it is beneficial to practice essay writing with a character/word limit, or if this is not something I should be concerned with.

Thanks!

Fairly sure it's limitless.

Keep typing until your fingers are bloody, and your brain leaks out your eyes/ears/nose.

Be sure you hit all three parts, the thesis, anti-thesis, and synthesis. Give two or three examples for each part, and it should be good.

I am a horrible writer, and I was able to get an R on the writing section, not that it matters much since there are only a few med schools that actually care about the writing section.

Good luck
