Hi everyone,

I have been doing the examkrackers review books over the last 2 months and am down to my last 10 days. As I have not followed the schedule to a T, I will probably finish reviewing in a few days, leaving about a week to go. I have only done 1 full length practice MCAT three weeks ago, getting a 28(8,12,8). My plan was to spend the last week taking full lengths leading up to the real exam next Thursday, seeing where I'm weak and bolstering that stuff. What do you think of this plan? Should I take a day or two break between the last day of studying and the real thing or does that not really matter?

Thanks!

I took one day off before my MCAT and kind of regretted it test day. I would definitely take more full length exams to work on your timing. Make a big review sheet you can stare at the night before the test.

Good luck!

Don't study 2-3 days before test exam.

Disagree. Clear your head the night before. My approach was eating pizza and hanging out at home. Maybe glance at 1 or 2 equations you are unsure of, but what are you truly gonna learn. The best approach is to get a good night sleep and relax! It worked out for me. But I studied 3+ hours a day for three months and was so incredibly sick of it by like a week before that I didn't really study in the 10 days leading up lol.

Try not to study, especially not a full-length test, the day before the real thing. You can do a quick review over formulas and stuff. I tried cramming in a full length before my real thing and ended up doing terribly on that one, making me really nervous entering the test the next day.

See the MCAT section for the "30+ tips", there are many suggestions there.

For the last 10 days before my MCAT, my routine was the same:

1. Review previous day's full length in AM
2. Take entire full-length in the afternoon under timed, exam-like conditions
3. Subject review as needed in PM

The day before and morning of, I did nothing except glance over formulas.

At this point, you should have all your subjects mastered. Now you need to get in the mental groove of tackling full-length MCATs all the way through, every day.

Definitely take a few more full lenghts. They help more than anything once you have the content down.

As for the day before, all I did was look at the review sheets my review book provided with me and searched specific answers to questions that would randomly flitter through my mind. Other than that, I enjoyed the day before and it took a drink or two to get me to sleep on time.

I disagree. I studied until about 2 am the night before the exam (my test was at 2pm so I had time to sleep) and was glad I did. Except it was like 99 degrees with 100% humidity in my room and I could barely sleep the whole night
