My question is this. Do you have to report all the time you've taken the MCAT or can you just say that you've taken it once and send them your best score?? Does anyone know? thanks

AACOMAS gets every MCAT score you have. All will be available to the schools. Some schools will consider your best scores from multiple tests and some will only consider your latest MCAT score to be the one that counts. At least thats how I understand it (only took it once).

Oh, and any given MCAT score is only valid for 3 years.

how do you find out if the school averages or takes the best mcat score?

some of the schools have it on their web sites- I only know of Tufts MD program - they take the "best" score meaning from each section- from each time u take it. The only way I know to not have scores reported now is to void it at the exam. I think you used to be able to with hold the scores and release them to only individual schools but that stopped either last year or the one before

Good point. Every time you take the MCAT, it is
ON YOUR PERMANANT RECORD 😱

Does anyone know of any other schools that use a similar approach, accepting the bests score from the individual sections of the MCAT?

yea..i too, am trying to figure out which schools accept the highest from each section. (makes a pretty significant difference to me)...

tufts, i love you!
