Sup everyone, Im retaking the MCAT July 28th and wanted to know what the general opinion is on TBR practice tests. I was thinking of ordering all 7 of them plus some of their books.

To those of you who have taken TBR, could u post ur test averages and ur actual MCAT scores?

btw, I have taken all of the TPR, Kaplan, and AAMC tests so im limited on resources to prep with. thanks

The TBR exams are your best bet now so you might as well go for it. They're definitely worth it. I did them before starting aamc's and they were great practice.

Against what seems like a popular belief on sdn, I guess I will go ahead and say that I did not find TBR full length exams to be any helpful. I bought all of their full lengths and went over them thoroughly before I started my AAMC practice tests. A lot of the TBR questions were basically a repeat of AAMC practice problems so there was no added benefit. Any problems that seemed to have originated from TBR seemed to test concepts that were either ambiguous or not at all similar to those in the actual MCAT.

I have taken the actual MCAT, and I found it to be most similar to, and only to, AAMC 11.

The best advice I can give you is to look over the list of concepts covered in MCAT (available on aamc website) and go over them all. MCAT is constantly evolving and you should not just count on prep books or old practice exams most, if not all, of which are outdated.

If you have AAMC tests, just go over them once more until you can get at least 13 in each section. Doing more full lengths likely will not be any beneficial. Instead direct your energy toward reviewing more material in depth and breadth.
