So the MCAT Essentials thing is not consistent with the AAMC FLs online.

MCAT Essentials PDF says:

PS = 52 questions, 70 minutes
VR = 40 questions, 60 minutes
BS = 52 questions, 70 minutes

But the AAMC FLs are:

PS = 77 questions, 100 minutes
VR = 60 questions, 80 minutes
BS = 77 questions, 100 minutes

So what's the deal?

Any AAMC exam that has the letter "R" after the test number means its the older version (the one that was hand written in the past).

The real MCAT and all the AAMC practice tests that do not have an R in it, are the standard format.
PS: 52 for 70mins
VR: 40 for 60mins
BS: 52 for 70mins.
