This semester I will be purchasing some MCAT books to study next semester. I have a list picked out on Amazon and I would like to see if you guys think any of these are not worth it and if there are any that I should purchase. Thank you.

Kaplan MCAT Practice Tests
Examkrackers MCAT Audio Osmosis
Examkrackers 1001 Questions for all four Subjects
Examkrackers 101 Passages for Verbal
Kaplan MCAT Review Complete 5 Books

I wish I would have done it for my MCAT, but I didn't think far ahead enough to get The Berkeley Review series. My personal opinion, TBR series, TPR BIO, TPR Science Workbook and Verbal workbook, EK 101 verbal passages. From my experience audio osmosis had too many mistakes and made me paranoid about using it, even though you can usually see when they make the mistake. If you are an excellent auditory learner, it may be good for you.

Look up the SN2 MCAT plan on this website.

SN2 MCAT plan is excellent. I would recommend Princeton Review books for a thorough content review. EK 101 and PR verbal are great practice for verbal. Get EK 1001 workbooks if you are struggling on specific topics and need additional practice.

Nobody ever seems to mention it, but when I studied for the MCAT the only resource I used was the Barron's MCAT prep book (with the CD). It was a perfectly condensed content review with some of the most representative practice exams I've ever seen. The average of my practice tests exactly predicted my actual score (with a very low standard deviation), and I was pleased with how I ended up doing. It's also super cheap - I got my copy from half price books for about $30. Just make sure you get the one with the CD because it's loaded with extra practice tests.

This may not be best for you if you haven't taken the pre-reqs yet; I had, so I really just sort of needed to brush up on content I had seen previously. You might have to do something more intense if you'll be learning some of the material for the first time.

Good luck.

PS: This is what I'm talking about

I studied with Kaplan review books only and loved it. Did well, too. They're less dense, less number-heavy (which I found the MCAT to be, as well), and easier to read. Great for core concepts.

For those of you who used The Berkeley Review books, did you actually read through all of the information before completing the practice questions? Or did you just do the practice questions/exams. I feel as if I am reading some of the topics in there for the millionth time and I feel as if it is a serious waste of my time (but I am afraid the one thing I do not read over will be important.)
What did you do? Read+questions or just questions?
