I am thinking about starting up a free MCAT tutoring program at my university - I would probably tutor once every Saturday or Sunday. Do you guys and gals think this is a good idea? I am thinking that this could be very helpful for people who can't afford Kaplan or PR.

yes it could, but unless you have a lot of help then its gonna be a lot of stress.

make sure you have a lot of people willing to tutor on a regular basis if you want this thing to lift off and be effective and helpful.

You should see if you can organize it through a pre-med club or something and see if you can get the school to give some sort of credit or volunteer experience to people who help you and yourself.

I am trying to organize this through AED and my preprof office. The good thing is that I am graduating this December so theoretically I should have a lot more time to do stuff like this. Also the response I got from others was very positive so I am cautiously optimistic that I can get this program started.
