Yes. We just increased this to 20 hours.

It is a chapter by chapter review of The Gold Standard MCAT book. Since most MCAT textbooks follow the outline by the AAMC, the seminars are still very helpful for students using other popular review books.

Are the seminar hours presented as audio reviews, or are they videos (similar to the 16 hours of Gold Standard videos)?

The Virtual Classroom (VC) recordings are video but the format is different from our other online videos (which are of a Dr. teaching in front of a white board). The VC videos are like a screen capture of an online classroom which includes Q & A, interactive discussions about specific MCAT topics and tutorials.

What kind of internet connection is needed to view the videos online?

Basically, if you can watch YouTube then you'll have no problems with these videos. They use the identical .flv technology.

What does the "extra testing and review for verbal sections including Writing Samples" consist of?

Extra testing in Verbal: all students get an additional 10 full length verbal reasoning practice tests which are graduated in difficulty. That means that these 10 CBTs start easy and then work there way up to a level of difficulty similar to the real exam. And note: those 10 tests are different from the 6 additional VR tests that come with FL practice MCATs (Gold Standard or GS-1 to GS-6).

Also, there is an online speed reading program that you can use.

For the Writing Sample, students will have access to advice, guidelines and objectives; 12 prompts (6 tests) for practice; and to many more corrected Writing Samples to see what is required to achieve different scores.
