I'm writing the MCCQE2 in 6 weeks and was wandering if anyone could give me some preperation tips. Also what is the usual number of stations, and what is the break down between obs/gyn, paeds, surg, med and FM? I'd appreciate your help.

I took it last year. I don't remember all the specifics, but I think you go through two rounds of stations. One round has the standardized patient followed by a station with followup MCQs/radiographs/EKG/bloods, etc. The second round is just standardized patients... I believe there were somewhere in the area of 30 stations (with patients). My breakdown was an equal amount of IM, peds, FM and much less obs/gyn, surg, psych... and a few ethics stations. I prepped with the old exams from the '90s. Good luck!
